Obama refuses to extend tax cuts to the rich
Average Reading Time: less than a minute.
President Obama on Wednesday will make clear that he opposes any compromise that would extend the Bush-era tax cuts for the wealthy beyond this year, officials said, adding a populist twist to an election-season economic package that is otherwise designed to entice support from big businesses and their Republican allies.

I support the President in not extending the tax break to the wealthiest Americans. The last decade has shown that the wealthiest can certainly take care of themselves–getting substantially richer while the gap between the rich and poor gets wider. The change for fiscal responsibility has to start with the easiest and most blatant sections and then move down.
