Obama Weekly Address
Obama annouces steps to improve the safety of our nation’s food supply. He also appoints Margaret Hamburg as Commissioner of the U.S. Food and Drug Administration.
This week, Obama acknowledges times are tough and lists day-by-day actions that the government is doing to help rebuild the economy. The President also warns there are tough choices ahead, and his administration will use honest accounting methods to deal with them. His office ended no-bid contracts, and has started the process of reforming healthcare.
This week’s address for your viewing enjoyment: The main message is that Obama says he’s willing to fight entrenched interests that are not working in the interests of the American people. It’ll be interesting so see how he does.
