In an effort to show the taxpayers where their money is going in the recovery efforts, and surely to win more support for the effort as well, recovery.org has been launched. Taxpayers will be able to see in detail how the money is spent, on which projects in which states, even which contractors are awarded contracts. It is also a part of the transparency and accountability initiative, the increased visibility of where and how money is spent lessens the risk of the fraud and waste that many associate with large government projects.
