Obama Budget Cuts
Finally, here’s a complete list of budget cuts made in the 11th hour to keep the government from shutting down. It’s a long list, nine pages in the .pdf format provided here and it’s not pretty. You have to wonder, as Paul Krugman does in his NY Times article, where the heck is the Obama that was actually voted into office?
Obviously the Republicans have tried to block nearly everything Obama has tried to cut, strange since they so loudly and so often proclaim themselves to be the party of fiscal responsibility. Still, with all the dramatic campaign promises Obama made during the 2008 election, along with the significant public support he still commands, you might have thought he could have forced through some deeper cuts. Does he have a Congressional liason staff worth their salt? Where is Joshua Lyman when you need him?
I am totally disappointed with Obama the way he fall for the Republican crap. Obama, need to stick to his promise and stop being so soft.These people will never accept him no matter what he does. He should do what is right and do what he promise the people.
If it mean go over the so call cliff let it roll any way it goes we are going to be screwed. I am so disappointed we work to hard for him to fold. When he doesn’t have toAll heneed todo is to cut out the waste and stop paying the rich to do nothing.
